Dundee University accused of ‘academic and economic vandalism’

It comes as news that 700 staff could lose their jobs amid a financial crisis.

Dundee University has been accused of “academic and economic vandalism” after it emerged 700 people could lose their jobs due to the financial crisis.

In a letter to Holyrood’s education committee, interim Principal, Professor Shane O’Neill said plans to cut 632 full-time roles could impact many more people.

Unions are continuing to call for the leadership team to resign and want a revised recovery plan that protects more staff.
