Drugs deaths down but last year still second highest on record

Deaths down only nine on the year before

It’s Scotland’s national shame. 1,330 people have lost their lives to drugs in the last year. The figure is down by just nine people on the year before. It remains the second highest on record. Families who’ve lost loved ones say the system to help those addicted to drugs is broken and recovery is the only solution to tackling the scale of the problem.
