Members of Glasgow’s addiction recovery community say opening the UK’s first consumption room is a crucial step towards ending the war on drugs, and could help signpost people towards local support groups.
The initiative was given the go-ahead in the east end last month, and will allow people to take illegal substances under medical supervision – without risking criminal action.
