Domestic violence survivors calls for prosecution process review

Campaigners for women's safety say there has to be a complete reform in the system

A women who endured violence and emotional abuse at the hands of her ex partner says at times it felt like she was living through a warzone – and Danielle Prill says the prosecution process left her feeling traumatised all over again.

It comes as a review found in 80% of 60 domestic abuse cases prosecuted across Scotland , the overall quality of communication was unsatisfactory.

The Crown Office has accepted the report’s recommendations and said it “profoundly regrets” that it has not always got it’s dealing with victims right.
