In a legal first, a domestic abuser has been jailed for a minimum of eight years, after a jury found him guilty of causing the death of his ex-wife.
Kimberly Bruce, 28, from Dundee, died by suicide after enduring 18 months of physical and psychological domestic abuse as a result of Lee Milne’s violent, coercive and controlling behaviour.
In what prosecutors and campaigners are calling a landmark case, Milne will spend at least eight years behind bars and will be supervised for a further three on his release.
