“Democracy Denial” from Westminster says FM

Comments come as Sturgeon begins to set out plan for new referendum

The First Minister says Scotland is facing a significant and increasing democratic deficit that can only be resolved through independence.

Nicola Sturgeon claims whoever becomes the next Prime Minister will take Westminster even further from mainstream Scottish values.

She was speaking at the launch of the second in a series of papers – outlining the Scottish Government’s refreshed case to leave the UK. But opposition parties described her speech as self-indulgent and wishful thinking.
