Defence minister says Prestwick not used in Iran attack

Luke Pollard says US operations did not involve Scottish bases

A UK defence minister says Prestwick Airport has not been used by the US military in its attack on Iran.

Luke Pollard was speaking on a visit to Scotland to announce a £50m defence growth deal.

He said the UK had allowed the Americans to use a limited number of bases for their operation, but none were in Scotland.
