A father from East Lothian whose heart stopped for four minutes after a sudden asthma attack, is urging others to take the condition more seriously.
Jamie Bell was placed in an induced coma, with doctors telling his family to prepare for the worst.
While recovering in hospital, Jamie learned more about his asthma, which he’d suffered from his entire life, and found out he’d been using the wrong inhaler.
Jamie now uses a preventative inhaler that he takes twice a day and says it’s been transformative.
He now hopes to run the Edinburgh Marathon next month for charity Asthma and Lung UK.
