Cromarty Firth consortium in Scottish green freeport bid

Also in the race are proposed sites in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Orkney and on the Clyde

‘This is the best bid” – that’s the message from a cross-party group of politicians who are backing the Cromarty Firth consortium aiming to become one of two Freeports in Scotland.

It’s one of five areas hoping to secure two designated zones. It’ll receive Government funding and tax breaks on renewable projects worth billions of pounds.
