Court hears claims are ‘entirely outlandish’ in Rossi case

The accused maintains he is not the same person wanted by American authorities

A court has heard an alleged fugitive’s attempts to explain why he is not the person wanted by US prosecutors are “entirely outlandish”.

The sheriff has been told “on the balance of probabilities”, the man in court is Nicholas Rossi, who is facing extradition over two allegations of rape and one of sexual assault.

The 35 year old’s defence counsel however described parts of the evidence as vague and insubstantial. His client maintains his name is Arthur Knight.
