Council leader defends city cleanliness ahead of 850th celebrations

As Glasgow prepares to celebrate its 850th anniversary, the leader of the City Council is refuting claims the whole place needs a deep clean for its birthday and insists it has been spruced up and is constantly being cleaned.

Susan Aitken also says that grand plans for investment have been hit hard by Covid, the housing emergency, and wider economic issues.
