Council condemned after cutting school crossing patrol

Parents say the decision will put their children in danger

Angus Council is facing accusations of prioritising budget cuts over children’s safety – as it gets set to pull funding for a school crossing patrol.

Edzell Primary will be without a lollipop lady come the end of March. The council says the school doesn’t meet the minimum criteria for having one.
