It’s 42 years since she disappeared from her home in Eastbourne on the south coast of England.

A coroner says the family of Jessie Earl have been the victims of a substantial miscarriage of justice. Police failed to treat the case as a murder inquiry meaning evidence which could have linked Scottish serial killer Peter Tobin to the death was destroyed.
