Concern as number of under-40s with diabetes soars

Almost 8,500 people in the age group now live with the condition in Scotland

But the number of under 40s being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes has soared.

A figure that a leading charity says should act as a “major wake up call to policymakers”.
