The number of offshore windfarms is set to more than double by 2030 but scientists fear their impact on the wider marine environment isn’t fully understood.

As part of a four-year study, scientists at Aberdeen University are looking at a range of different factors to determine their effect.

Fishermen say the information must be analysed quickly, or else it could jeopardise their industry’s future.
