Concern amongst community projects over securing funding

The Scottish Government says it's spending £127 million a year in mitigating UK Government welfare cuts

Community centres delivering lifeline services say they’re constantly “looking over their shoulder” and worry they wont be able to meet demand this winter, due to a lack of funding.

It comes as councils warn of more hardship ahead as welfare funds to help people through the cost of living crisis are running out.

Leaders are urging the Scottish Government to step in and stop more families falling into poverty.
