Edinburgh councillors have agreed to look further at suggestions to modify the scheme

Short-term let operators in Edinburgh claim the level of compensation they could potentially be owed by the council over it’s control area has the potential to “bankrupt” the local authority.

Business owners say rulings in two judicial reviews that aspects of the policy were “unlawful” means they could seek damages – but won’t if changes are made to the scheme.
