Communities look back ten years on from Commonwealth Games

More than 4,000 athletes from around the world competed in venues across the country.

It’s a decade on from the biggest ever sporting event to be held in Scotland.

In 2014, The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow brought about promises of a lasting legacy, for sport, local communities and for the country as a whole.

But what did it deliver?

Well, there was huge sporting success for Scottish athletes and venues for the events are still used to this day.

However, for others, it displaced them from their homes, saw their community ripped apart and never put back together again.
