Coeliac campaigners call for more awareness of symptoms

Coeliac disease is a condition where the immune system attacks tissues when gluten is consumed.

Around 32,000 people in Scotland are estimated to be living with undiagnosed Coeliac disease.

Campaigners say it’s critical anyone with symptoms gets tested as a priority.

The charity Coeliac UK warns people can suffer serious long term effects if the disease goes unnoticed.
