Children playing sports in Dundee on the up thanks to student volunteers

Teachers say volunteers are helping their pupils play a wider range of sports.

The number of children taking up sport in schools across Dundee is thought to be rising, with the help of students from Abertay University.

A certain amount of volunteering is mandatory as part of sport science degrees there, but many are going over and above to start and coach their own clubs.

And teachers say it’s helping their pupils play a wider range of sports.
