Child poverty targets ‘remain realistic’ say Scottish Government

More than a quarter of children were living in relative poverty last year

The Scottish Government insists its targets on cutting child poverty remain realistic, despite figures showing little change in the past twelve months.

However the Wellbeing Economy Secretary says the Scottish Government can reduce that to less than a fifth by next year.

Charities are demanding both the UK and Scottish Governments take concrete action.
