Child protection experts say lessons must be learnt quickly from a review set up following one of the largest ever child abuse prosecutions.
This week, seven people convicted of being part of a paedophile gang in Glasgow, were told they face at least a three-month wait to find out if they will be given life sentences.
The delay will not affect an inquiry into why authorities didn’t act sooner on early signs of neglect, allowing the crimes to go undetected for years.
