Charity to plant a million trees to cool down River Dee

In a bid to tackle climate change, a north east charity is helping to restore the landscape of Royal Deeside.

Rising temperatures have had a devastating impact on the River Dee, with the water becoming too warm to support the salmon there.

The River Dee Trust has pledged to plant a million trees to provide shade, and has now reached half of its overall target.
