A charity providing elderly people with support, including weekly shopping deliveries, say they are “heartbroken“ after Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership withdrew its annual funding.
Food Train says it was left with no option but to stop operations in the area, leaving more than 150 elderly people without access to services.
Renfrewshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership say “current financial challenges have meant facing “difficult choices”.
The charity is talking to other potential funding sources as it looks to secure its future.
