Nearly 700 thousand families in Scotland will see the first of two cost-of-living payments land in their bank accounts from today.
Those eligible for the extra support will receive £326, with a second payment due in the autumn. It’s part of the UK Government’s plan to help low income households with rising prices.
They say by Christmas the most vulnerable will have received more than a thousand pounds to help cope with rising prices. But charities say it’s nowhere near enough.
