Charlotte Gilchrist was just a tiny baby – 11 weeks old – when she underwent open heart surgery at Glasgow’s Childrens Hospital last summer.
Charlotte should have been made as comfortable as possible after the operation.
But, a blunder at the hospital meant she wasn’t given enough morphine and left enduring her recovery in pain.
A review has now revealed a catalogue of failures at the hospital which led to seven children all being under-medicated for pain relief.
