Carnoustie pollution warning as farm manure found in water

The pollution caused by organic farm fertiliser has affected the town's iconic Barry Burn

People are being warned to avoid going into the sea at Carnoustie due to farm manure polluting the water.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency says its a precautionary measure and is testing the water at the beach and Barry burn which runs through the town’s golf course.
