‘Care in crisis’ say families as disability services charges rise

Aberdeenshire’s Health and Social Care budget for the year has a funding gap of more than £17m.

Families and trade unions say “care is in crisis” after increased charges to disability day services in Aberdeenshire were approved.

The board, which oversees Aberdeenshire’s Health and Social Care, set its budget for the year with a funding gap of more than £17m.

But families say there has been a lack of consultation – leaving the most vulnerable to suffer.
