Campaigners fighting against a 70-mile track of giant pylons say Angus Council’s objection to the plan is a significant step forward, but the fight is not over yet.

Councillors unanimously voted against SSEN’s overhead lines between Kintore and Tealing, which could now trigger a public inquiry.

The energy giant says it’s disappointed by the decision. but still hopes a final ruling can be made within 52 weeks.
