Campaigners ‘deeply concerned’ over A9 dualling future

It's twelve years since the Scottish Government pledged to dual the 134km of the A9

Campaigners pushing for the A9 to be dualled say they’re ‘deeply concerned’ after it emerged that Ministers knew five years ago that their 2025 deadline would not be reached.

Previously unpublished papers show the Cabinet was told that if the project was privately financed it would more than double the cost to £7 billion, and take until at least 2032 before it was complete.
