Campaigners call for strategy to save Glasgow’s glasshouses

Their design means the cost of maintenance will continue to be a struggle

Campaigners fighting to save Glasgow’s ‘iconic’ glasshouses are calling for a ‘proper strategy’ to restore them as they fear they could be lost forever.

A number of community led organisations are looking to refurbish the structures including Springburn Winter Gardens as well as Queen’s Park glasshouse, which is currently being used by Scotland’s Rural College.
