The saga of CalMac’s Ardrossan-Brodick sailings continues. Businesses and families are telling STV News they are considering moving off the Isle of Arran because of ongoing issues with the boats. Locals say the ferry service is “worse now than it was 50 years ago”.
It comes as the route’s biggest ship is out of action again, this time due to engine failure. With 10 crossings cancelled today, local shops are running out of stock, fuel supplies are getting low and tourists can’t visit.
