Calls to bring in military medical care after Skye incidents

NHS Highland says it will hand over a report to the Government on Friday.

There are calls to bring in the military to provide round the clock medical care on the Isle of Skye, following a number of recent critical incidents.

NHS Highland is due to tell the Scottish Government on Friday how it plans to improve services at Portree Hospital.

It follows the case of Eilidh Beaton, who suffered an anaphylatic shock on the island earlier this month but the hospital was closed out of hours.
