One of the operators at Scotland’s main gas terminal has told STV News the situation globally means the UK should be ‘reconsidering’ its stance on the future of North Sea driling.
The conflict in the Middle East has meant wholesale prices have been rising, while questions have been raised over supplies.
The industry has called for the easing of taxes on the sector too.
One of the largest companies in the North Sea has confirmed it’s cut around 700 jobs in 3 years.
