Calls for SPS to be stripped of immunity over Polmont deaths

Katie Allen and 16-year-old William Lindsay both died from suicide at the young offenders institution

The family of a young woman who took her own life in Polmont have called for the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) to be stripped of its immunity against prosecution over her death.

Katie’s parents were speaking after a preliminary hearing of the fatal accident inquiry into the circumstances of what happened to her and William.
