Calls for more single-use items charge decade after bag fee

A government consultation is currently underway on moving from bags to life to cups for life.

Since it began, environmental groups say the number of plastic bags washing up on UK beaches has fallen by nearly ninety per cent.

Conservationists are now calling for a big push forward with plans for other single-use items.
