Call for law change to make rape victims anonymous for life

It's hoped the change will encourage people to report sexual offences

Campaigners say a change in the law which will give rape victims life-long anonymity is long-overdue.

The law already exists in England and Wales and protects complainers from the moment they make an allegation.

Plans are underway to reform laws in Scotland.
