Caithness mothers forced to travel to Inverness for births

That's despite a Scottish Government commitment to returning a consultant-led service in Moray

Maternity campaigners in Caithness say they’ve been ‘forgotten about again’ as 95% of mothers are still forced to travel to Inverness to give birth.

The Health Secretary says an early-years review is taking place for services in the North of Scotland, but an independent review solely for Caithness would ‘not be the best use of time’.
