BT workers on strike for the first time in 35 years

Workers reject pay offer after BT reported £5billion in profits yesterday

Around 6,000 call centre staff and Openreach engineers across Scotland have walked out in the first national telecoms strike since 1987. It follows failed pay negotiations – the business awarded workers £1,500 — which they say isn’t enough to curb the rising costs of living.
