As world leaders meet in Egypt for COP27 — seeking global solutions to the climate crisis, here in Scotland there’s a further threat to the long-delayed bottle and can deposit return scheme.
Its postponed launch – which should now be next summer – will see people getting money back when they return bottles and cans.
But, some drink producers and retailers say the costs and paperwork are too much.
