BMA urges Highland medical training to avert crisis

Health Minister Michael Matheson says the Government is taking action on the issue in a number of ways

The Chair of the British Medical Association in Scotland is calling on the Government to set up a medical training university in the Highlands to stem what he claims is a crisis in healthcare in the region.

Dr Iain Kennedy says patients in rural areas across Scotland are suffering in comparison to people living in towns and cities, due to a lack of access to GPs and services.
