Best Outstanding Debut and Best British short animation were among the winning categories

Former triathlete turned screenwriter Lesley Paterson was a big winner as her debut film All Quiet on the Western Front swept up several awards.

Director Charlotte Wells also had an evening to remember winning the outstanding debut for her film Aftersun.
