A group of relatives who lost loved ones in controversial or violent circumstances have joined forces to call for changes in the way Scotland’s legal system deals with sudden deaths.
The newly formed Families United want to see a radical overhaul, as they believe what is currently in place is shambolic and lacks transparency and accountability.
Relatives are calling for reforms including coroners’ inquests, which are used in England and Wales, and which give families more involvement.
