Bereaved families call for more research into deadly brain tumours

Just 12% of patients live 5 years after a diagnosis - it's an average of 54% for other cancers

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer – but just 1% of the national spending on research has been allocated to this devastating condition.

Just one of the stark statistics that patients and their families have put to politicians as they call for an increase in funding.

The issue is being raised at the Scottish Parliament this evening, highlighting the need for investment in cures and improved treatment options.
