Beavers return to the Cairngorms after 400 years

Two pairs have moved from Tayside to separate locations along the River Spey

Beavers are back in the Cairngorms after a 400 year absence.

Other beavers are to follow in the coming weeks.

Worried landowners though have been guaranteed compensation if their fears of the rodents destroying flood-banks become a reality.
