Barry Mill still spinning the wheel of Scotland’s industrial heritage

An extensive restoration project is helping bring back one of Barry Mill.

Barry Mill, one of Scotland’s last remaining working, water-powered mills, is undergoing extensive restoration work to keep the cogs turning.

The complex repairs inspired a mystery donor to gift £2.4m to the National Trust for Scotland.
