Bad weather to blame for fall in retail sales say experts

It comes as lower electricity and gas prices slowed inflation last month

Experts are blaming bad weather in July for a sharp fall in sales on Scotland’s high streets.

Figures from the Scottish Retail Consortium suggests sales were well below the three month average.

Pressure remains on household spending with food costs staying high.
