Backlash over decision to close Doubledykes crossing

Rail bosses say the decision has been driven by safety concerns

Network Rail is facing a backlash from a Fife community over its decision to close a popular crossing – as part of the redevelopment of the Levenmouth railway line.

More than fifteen hundred people have backed a petition opposing the closure of Doubleydykes crossing near Thornton.
