Anti-abortion activists give evidence to buffer zones committee

The proposals would mean anyone protesting within 200 metres of a facility would be fined

Anti-abortion campaigners say they fear plans to create buffer zones outside clinics will criminalise silent vigils and prayer.

A number of groups outlined their concerns to Holyrood’s Health Committee this morning.

However, the MSP who brought forward the Bill says it strikes the balance between the right to access healthcare and freedom of speech.
