Politicians and industry leaders have hit out at the UK’s decision to block a Chinese energy firm’s plan to build offshore wind turbines in the Highlands, saying it threatened national security.
The First Minister and deputy first minister have both slammed the decision, saying they were “blindsided”.
Ming Yang promised to create up to 15,000 jobs at the port of Ardersier, in a deal worth £1.5bn.
There is hope that a rival company could fill the void.
